The other day, a client paid Synapse one of the highest compliments he could by saying we felt like family. By the time we complete a rebrand and a website build, as we did for this client, we’ve usually spent enough time with the people on the project that we really are like family. We know their business, their people, their products and their habits. And they know ours, too.
Many of our projects take months, sometimes close to a year, to complete. During that time, our account managers are continually communicating with clients to ensure that their projects are on track and delivering the results they expect. They’re responsible for ensuring that Synapse lives up to our commitment to do “Whatever It Takes” to make that happen. It’s a tough job, but it’s also rewarding. And—dare we say it?—it can be a lot of fun, because we work with some really fun clients.
To meet the growing demands of the Synapse family, we’re pleased to announce the addition of a new account manager to the team. Abby Gruber recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Shippensburg University, where she was a member of the American Marketing Association. In addition, she has experience in client relations from prior work as a part-time bank teller. Some of our clients are already familiar with Abby’s work due to her internship with Synapse during the summer of 2013.
Abby was also a member of the Ski & Snowboarding club at Shippensburg and played in a recreational soccer league. We had a few minutes to sit down with Abby this week and ask her a few questions.
What brought you back to Synapse after your summer internship last year?
The Synapse Team is made up of talented, fun individuals. There are always new projects, which keeps the work interesting and challenging. After working with the Account Management Team last summer, I am excited to start full-time.
Why marketing?
I am specifically interested in the client relations and outreach aspect of marketing. If you treat your customers right, they will sell the product or service for you.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
In the summer, I like to spend my free time on or near the water. I am an avid wakeboarder and consider being on the boat my “happy place.” In the winter, I enjoy skiing with my family and friends and skiing at Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Allentown, PA.
I’m also a dog lover! I recently lost my 10-year-old Golden Retriever, which was really hard. I will be bringing home a Golden Retriever puppy at the end of July.
Thanks, Abby, and welcome to the Synapse team. To learn more about Abby and the rest of our team, click here.
